Yes hello I need all of this.
Last night our internet was cut off, simply because we can’t afford to keep paying for it, I’m currently writing this from a shitty internet cafe about a mile away from where I live.
The other donation page is still up, but has so little traffic I’m kind of only leaving it up as a reminder by this point.
I have kept back a few points that illustrate daily just how dire the situation my Mother and I are in, simply because it’s personal. but I think I really have to illustrate the point now.
My Mother and I shower once a month. We wash our hair once a fortnight. This is because, thanks to the situation the Government has put us in, we can barely afford water. It has been this way since November last year.
Also since November last year, we have not once used the Heating, regardless of the fact that this meant we had to go through the coldest Winter Britain has had in recorded history with no heating whatsoever.
We’re looking for places to move to, but nowhere in our price bracket will accept people on Benefits, they say this phrase: ‘No DDR’, which means they do not want people on Benefits.
I usually save aside £10 a month for luxuries, just so Mother and I can continue to feel Human rather than depressed grey blobs, we barely even have that anymore.
Work is non-existent for someone with my qualifications, and believe me when I say that, while I do not regret taking six years out of education to help care for my Grandmother, I begin to resent it a little when I’m told I’m under-qualified.
I don’t expect to raise the full amount I;m asking for, simply because it’s a lot. But it’s there to illustrate just how seriously we’re backed into a corner.
Mother is depressed, and her PTSD is acting up in reaction to the constant stress we are under. I, myself, am only kept on the straight and narrow due to the presence of my friends, and now with the internet cut off, I won’t even have that.

My thesis project, Dom & Sub, a.k.a. why I’ve been such a bad tumblr-er/bad friend/etc. My artist statement:
Dom & Sub is a body of illustrative work in digital media that attempts to humanize practitioners of BDSM and offer a representation of kinky sex that not only refutes negative stereotypes but informs the audience that sadomasochistic play is done best between happy, healthy, and consenting adults. I portrayed the couple in the work not only engaging in S&M play but also building a “scene” together and nurturing one another after the play has concluded; these are moments often left unconsidered or completely ignored in visual representations of S&M. I believe it’s important to see how kinky scenes are crafted with care, commitment to safety and enthusiastic consent in order to limit those times when sadomasochistic play is used to abuse or dehumanize other human beings. It is my hope that my audience will learn from the illustrations that sadomasochistic play is not always dark or scary, and that fellow ‘kinksters’ can enjoy tender representations of S&M that do not ridicule or pathologize them. I’ve designed the work to engage sadomasochistic imagery, material and theory with an ethical conscience.
EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS
Ok!! Long story short, thanks to some fair weather friends, my girlfriend is going to be kicked out of her apartment by the end of this month, on May 30th. Her only option at present is moving in with her dad. But!! Here’s the problem:
- She’s in Florida
- Her dad’s in Virginia
- Her car needs repairs AND she has to pay her last bit of rent
- She can’t afford the repairs and gas she needs to allow her to get up to Virginia, and neither I nor her family can afford to foot her bill.
She gets minimum hours and minimum pay after (we suspect) she was fired after coming out as trans* from a well-paying job a few months ago, so she’s really in dire straits right now. Financially, she’s fucked and stranded.
Now, I take commissions! And at present all of the money I get from those will be going to her. Right now, I have nothing. Zero dollars. And she needs at LEAST 600$ before the month is out.
I’m not a cheap artist, no. I’m not going to get into why cheap commissions devalue the market here, but if you can’t afford my rates, please consider smacking the tip button on my commissions page? Every last cent in my paypal is going to go to her, so even small donations mean a lot. Or hell, even a reblog would be really appreciated!
